As a gamer (PC /Playstation) and fan of the TV series Stargate SG-1, I always wanted a game to be released analogous to the TV series. Unfortunately, this wish has not come true today. There have been and are a few attempts to incorporate the series into a game, but a real game has not yet been released. There are many reasons for this, but one important reason is probably the question of licenses. An important website in German-speaking countries on the subject of Stargate games is “Stargate Project”. At the beginning of 2023, I became aware of some YT videos that showed a tour of the Stargate Center. Thanks to a lot of experience in game modding and programming, I decided to program a game myself. It was clear to me from the start that this wasn't going to be a walk in the park. The pure development time for a title is usually 3-5 years and is carried out by a huge team. That's why it was immediately clear that I would never be able to create a real, market-ready game. For this reason, the plan is to first create a model of the Stargate Center that you can freely move around and explore. For a true Stargate fan, this is a real milestone. I have been following this plan since March 2023. Researching the circumstances alone took 2 months. I looked through and collected dozens of pictures, read many articles and descriptions from other fans. I have been working on the implementation since August 2023. The first step is to create a model of the Stargate Center using Blender. I also work on the game engine, which ultimately brings the game to life. After much thought and a few pros and cons, I decided on UNITY. It really does take a lot of work and time. Learning how to actually create a game is also a huge challenge. But the fun of it and the possible goal are worth it to me. On this website I would like to let all fans participate in the development and progress of the project. I will publish pictures and videos about the project work at irregular intervals. I hope you enjoy the project as much as I did !

Stargate SG-1 was an American science fiction television series that ran from July, 1997 to March, 2007, spanning a total of 213 episodes over the course of ten seasons, making it the longest-running episodic American sci-fi series to date. The show was a spin-off of the 1994 feature film Stargate and spawned two spin-off programs of its own, Stargate: Atlantis and Stargate: Universe, as well as a short-lived animated series and two direct-to-video sequel films. The first five seasons of the series were broadcast on the Showtime cable network, with the remaining seasons airing on the Sci-Fi Channel (later known as Syfy). All episodes of the series have been released to DVD in both standard snapcase edition and slimline edition. The premise of the series revolved around the top-secret US Air Force special unit SG-1 who, still possessing the Stargate portal recovered in the original film, explore dozens of various worlds, encountering strange, alien races, both peaceful and aggressive. Their most notable adversaries include the parasitic Goa'uld and the cosmic cult known as the Ori.
